Top 3 decorative emblems for a prelit Christmas tree

Once your lights are hung, you can add anything else you feel should go underneath the ornaments. You can use almost anything you like as long as it fits within your theme or color scheme. When decorating a pre-lit Christmas tree, you should consider using the following decorative emblems.

Ribbon

If you’d like to hang a ribbon garland, choose one with a mesh or wire edge, because it will stay upright instead of flopping over. To complete your design, top the pre lit Christmas tree with a large ribbon bow for a coordinated look.

Garland

Using floral wire or twisted branches, attach the garland to the tree 8″ below the top of the trunk. The garland should be arranged at an angle around the pre lit Christmas tree when finished to look like a twisted corkscrew.

Floral Stems & Decor Picks

In order to make decorative picks and stems, wire or plastic is usually used. Flowers, beads, and other embellishments can also be attached to one end. The length of the picks will depend on the size of the pre lit Christmas tree you are decorating. You would have trouble using very long picks on the top and bottom of trees since the branches taper so much. With wire cutters, you can reduce the length of some picks so you can stack them top to bottom. The largest and longest picks should be placed near the bottom of the tree. When stacking picks on top of each other, you can stack more than one type into the branches at once. Using floral wire to connect the picks, attach them to the branches will ensure they are more secure. In the second phase, add medium-length picks and then finish with the shorter picks at the top.
